NOTE:
- Gross
return was calculated as grain price with protein adjustments less treatment
costs.
- All
treatments had 18:20:0 at 70 kg/ha.
- Smartrace
Zinc®
- Spraygro, Teprosyn Zn® - Phosyn, Broadacre Zinc® - Agrichem, Expt
Product – Ag Master
DISCUSSION:
- All
treatments in this trial (except control) were coated on the seed with
a total liquid content of 10 litres/tonne of seed.
- All
zinc coated treatments did appear to reduce the rhizoctonia root infection
however it had no affect on haydie lesions.
- Zinc
tissue levels were higher for the Broadacre Zinc treatment however this
had no significant yield influence.
- When
economics are evaluated the Smartrace Zinc® had a better gross
return than the Control which in turn was greater than other seed coated
treatments.
- The
treatment Expt Product is now not manufactured in the formulation used
in this trial. Teprosyn Zn® and Broadacre Zn® has zinc in the oxide
form whilst Smartrace Zinc® is zinc in a chelate formulation.
-
Spraygro
Smartrace Zinc ® is a 10% W/V Zinc concentrate, it is a flowable dust free product.
